Waah!!!

Havent posted for a looong time. I was spending my time greiving. And I had an excellent reason.

Okay, this may sound a bit stupid, but I was grieving my dear Orkut being blocked at work. Considering the fact, that I'm sitting in front of the computer for over nine hours a day...hey...I need some entertainment too!

But that was, ofcourse, no to be!! It was too good to be true! So there went Orkut and all the chatting with other friends who were equally bekaar (that means jobless ;)! ) and bored! They even blocked the proxy sites! How mean!!!!

Siiigh!!!! Such is life!

My life has been so boring besides. There's nothing to even write about!

  • LOL LOL LOL Thank god, at least Orkut is not blocked in my company! :P But what if Blogger is also blocked? There is one tool "Scrapboy" that can be used to view the scraps and also post. But I do not have an idea of how secure it is giving your username and password to a third party.

  • there is no sureshot way to block proxys, one can always use IPs of proxy servers, i believe some proxy sites must be blocked. But giving your password to a unknown server is risky nonetheless.

  • hmm.. too bad.
    seems like orkut is a new craze,especially in india. but the site is so slooowww....

    if u hav a internet connection at home ( or in friend's home), u can setup a proxy to it from ur office and then happpily browse away.

  • as mentioned in a comment above, scrapboy could be a way out ... sites are not banned on our company network - but then, although I have a HUGE friend list on Orkut, I hardly play the scrap game.. Its a biggie waste of time - i say - "why scrap, just talk to me on messenger" :-D

  • Orkut is blocked at work as is all web mail. They allow us to use AOL IM though cos we all use it to commmunicate with coworkers.
    Try www.meebo.com if you want to still use your diff chat clients via a web interface.

  • my sympathies toooo.....arre i'm also another ill-fated one(u know tht). crew memeber! even i've cried over it a lot, but there's no point in spilling beans now, as the disaster is over, the reactive period is also gone past.....even i tried to open some of the proxy sites, even they are blocked. hope blogspot remains alive n kicking
